I built TrueRoot7 because I couldn't find a scalp oil that was actually what it claimed to be — a short list of real, organic botanical oils and nothing else. No fillers, no synthetic stabilizers, no mystery ingredients. Just seven plant-based oils, each chosen on purpose, each one you can look up and trace.

Here's exactly what's in every bottle, and where it comes from.

01 · Jojoba Oil

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil · Israel / Argentina · USDA Certified Organic · Cold pressed · Hexane free

Nearly half the bottle. Jojoba is technically a liquid wax rather than an oil, and it's the closest botanical match to the scalp's own natural oils — so it feels light and absorbs cleanly instead of sitting heavy. It's the foundation of the formula; everything else is carried in it. It's also one of the most stable plant oils there is, which is part of why it earns the base.

02 · Castor Oil

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil · India · USDA Certified Organic · Cold pressed · Hexane free

A rich, cushioning oil that's been a staple of hair and scalp care traditions for generations. High in ricinoleic acid, it gives the blend its body and a smooth, conditioned feel. It's the densest oil in the formula, so you'll see it settle toward the bottom over time — which is exactly why you shake the bottle before each use. Nothing was added to stop that.

03 · Pumpkin Seed Oil

Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil · USDA Certified Organic · Cold pressed

The ingredient that sets this formula apart — you rarely see it in a scalp oil. It's cold-pressed and completely unrefined, which is why it carries that deep rose-red color: nothing was stripped out of it. Naturally rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, it gives TrueRoot7 both its distinctive character and its color.

04 · Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil · Spain · 100% pure · Steam distilled

Crisp, green, and herbaceous — a botanical woven into hair-care traditions around the world for centuries. Steam-distilled and undiluted, it brings a clean, invigorating note to the blend's aroma.

05 · Peppermint Essential Oil

Mentha Arvensis (Peppermint) Oil · India · 100% pure · Steam distilled

The one you'll feel. Peppermint's natural menthol gives a cool, refreshing tingle on the scalp and a bright, fresh scent. Steam-distilled, single ingredient, nothing added.

06 · Cedarwood Essential Oil

Cedrus Deodara (Cedarwood) Wood Oil · India · 100% pure · Steam distilled

Warm, woody, and grounding. Cedarwood rounds out the aroma and balances the brighter top notes of rosemary and peppermint. It's also one of the most stable essential oils there is — it actually improves with age.

07 · Vitamin E

Tocopherol · USA · Natural D-Alpha, undiluted

The blend's natural guardian. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that slows oxidation, helping keep all seven oils fresh and extending the life of every bottle — without synthetic preservatives. A small amount doing important work.

No fillers. Nothing hidden.

No synthetic stabilizers, no emulsifiers, no carrier dilution, no fragrance oils. That's deliberate: the ingredients that keep an oil from separating on a shelf do nothing for your scalp, so they aren't in here.
