My Story

Why I made TrueRoot7

I'm not a doctor, and I'm not an influencer. I'm a 45-year-old father of two from Groveport, Ohio, who got tired of buying products that didn't live up to what was printed on the label — and decided to make one that did.

Here's the honest version.

A few years back, I stopped putting my health on the back burner. I was worried about my back, my joints, and how I felt day to day, so I dug in — food, exercise, real bloodwork, all of it. Somewhere in there I started paying more attention to my hair and scalp too, the way a lot of guys my age do.

I had one rule for myself: whatever I used had to be clean. I'd worked too hard getting healthy to start putting things in or on my body that I didn't understand. Pharmaceuticals weren't for me. Procedures definitely weren't. I wanted something natural, simple, and honest.

So I went looking for a good hair and scalp oil — and I couldn't find one I actually trusted. Everything was either a long list of synthetic-sounding ingredients, a cheap base dressed up with fragrance, or a "natural" product that turned out to be mostly filler. All I wanted was a short list of real, organic botanical oils and nothing else. It didn't exist. So I made it.

I spent weeks narrowing it down to seven organic oils — jojoba, castor, pumpkin seed, rosemary, peppermint, cedarwood, and vitamin E. Every one earns its place. No fillers, no synthetic stabilizers, no fragrance oils, nothing added just to make it look prettier sitting on a shelf. That's also why it separates a little, and why you shake it before each use — there's nothing in there to stop that, on purpose.

I've used it myself every single day since April 15, 2026. My scalp and hair feel smoother and less dry than they used to, and I like the cool, fresh way it feels going on. That's my honest experience as the guy who makes it.

And I do make it — I mix it, bottle it, and ship it myself, right here in Ohio. My name is on it. When you buy a bottle, you're not buying from a faceless brand on a shelf; you're buying from the person who made it and uses it too.

That's the whole idea. Seven ingredients, nothing hidden, made by someone who actually uses the stuff.
